the london 619 goes careening off the track
sirens light the sky then it all fades to black
a premonition ...
why did you ignore the signs?

there won't be a second time

your oxygen grew thin as your lips fade to pale
pulled out from the wreckage as the train had derailed
an intuition ...

you had reached of the road.

how could you not have known?

music and lyrics: Trewavas Blackwood Armstrong

The Disturbance Fields are beginning to take their toll across the world in every possible form that Mother Nature can conjure.

Tornadoes, Wildfires, Hurricanes, Earthquakes, Landslides, Storm Surges, Tidal Waves, Flooding and so on.

A train goes off the rails as ferocious torrential rains have caused a landslide just before two oncoming trains come upon it.

Edison's Children is again pulling from their own personal history battling Mother Nature here as Pete Trewavas survived this very thing happening to him when a sudden deluge caused a mountainside to give way. A landslide ensued which caused his train to derail nearly leading to a head-on collision with another on-coming train.

Pete came out of it un-scathed but left the band somewhat shaken with yet another nearly deadly catastrophe.
Wendy Darling was photographing a full eclipse of the sun and captured both the moments just before it went 100% and just as it did. Combining the two photos on top of each other created an "other-worldly" looking creation.

The massive planet below the two moons is actually not a planet at all but a "sun flare" caused by the camera's iris which began to react quite bizarrely to the extreme light coming from the sun at full eclipse (which is why you are not supposed to look directly at the sun during an eclipse as it could cause permanent blindness).

There is another planet there however if you look closely enough... just to the left of the "fully eclipsed moon". There is a tiny white dot. That is not an anomaly of the camera's film; That is actually Mars coming into view as the total eclipse occurred.

Wendy Darling was trying to showcase the fact that this "Random Occurrence" in space may also be the cause for many of the other "Random Disturbances" happening across the globe. Mother Nature certainly works hand in hand with the gravitational pull of the moon and with solar flares and interplanetary events.

This culminates in the fact that Mother Nature is pulling some of her massive strength from the other celestial bodies of our solar system to create this apocalyptic "Disturbance" which will erase all of man-kind.

While "The Disturbance Fields" would eventually take a nautical turn (as the album developed) to deal mostly with the battle against Mother Nature at sea, keep in mind that "The Disturbance Fields" is a trilogy and the other two albums that lie ahead deal with Mother Nature battling us from within the earth and from what lies out there in space that will bring the final toll to all of us.
